Think of the meter as the dividing line. On the street side, PSEG Long Island owns the poles and lines, the transformer, the drop to your house and the meter. On the house side, you own the weatherhead, the cable down to the meter pan, the pan, the panel and every circuit inside, which makes that part an electrician’s job. It is not always clear from the ground where one ends, so see who fixes what before you phone the wrong party.
